Serious crash at Gympie under investigation

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash at Gympie.

Around 4pm on September 7, a grey Toyota Landcruiser and a white Mitsubishi ASX collided at the intersection of Old Bruce Highway and Oak Street.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 67-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the Toyota, a 32-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Both men have been taken to Gympie Hospital.

Anyone with relevant information or dashcam/CCTV footage is urged to come forward.
