Worker injured by masked man in violent Friday 13th robbery

The search continues for an offender, following a violent robbery at Caboolture.

Police say a man wearing a Halloween mask threatened a worker at the Argyll Street store around 6.45am on Friday the 13th.

When the woman attempted to flee, the man grabbed her and a violent struggle ensued.

She managed to break free and run to safety, however she sustained lacerations to her arm and face, requiring treatment in hospital.

The man stole a sum of money from the till and a quantity of cigarettes, before running off on foot, west along Argyll Street.

He was wearing a brown Halloween mask, ‘DriRider’ brand jacket, blue jeans, brown work boots, black gloves and an orange hi-vis shirt.

He was also carrying a red ‘Mickey Mouse’ branded Christmas bag and a green ‘Bunnings’ branded umbrella.

He is approximately 185cm tall and has a fair complexion.

Anyone with information on the robbery, or who may know the man’s identity is urged to contact police.

Businesses, motorists and homeowners in the area are also urged to check CCTV and dashcam footage for any sightings of the offender.
