Bus services will connect students to new schools on the Sunshine Coast for the first time, as part of changes for Term One, 2023.
Nirimba State Primary School at Caloundra South and Palmview State Secondary College students will be able to catch new school bus services when the school year begins on Monday, January 23.
There will also be new services to new growth areas and existing schools such as the Montessori International College and Our Lady of the Rosary for the first time as well.
A number of school bus route numbers and timetables will be changing to provide services that better meet school bell times and improve safety.
Head of Translink Sally Stannard is encouraging Sunshine Coast families to check their school bus route and timetable as part of preparation for the start of school.
“Now is the time for all students and parents to head online to ensure you are familiar with the timetable of school bus services,” Ms Stannard says.
“I am sure the new bus services will be welcomed by their school communities and help students get from their front door to the classroom door.”
For more information on 2023 school bus services contact your school bus service operator, or use the online school bus service finder or the Translink journey planner to ensure you are familiar with the timetable of your service.
