A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Police say a black BMW K1300 motorbike was travelling east along Mapleton Road, below the Dulong lookout at Kureelpa, at around 9am, when it collided with a white 2016 Ford Ranger ute travelling west.
The rider, a 70-year-old Sunshine Coast man sustained critical injuries.

He was immediately assisted by the other driver, however he died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old Kureelpa man, was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
