Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal traffic crash at Deception Bay on Saturday night.
Initial police information indicates a Ford sedan and a Toyota 4WD collided shortly after 9pm, at the intersection of Deception Bay Road and Webster Road.
The front passenger of the sedan, a 24-year-old Gympie man, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries, where he later passed away.
A 28-year-old Margate woman also from the sedan, and three children who were passengers in that car,were all transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the 4WD, a 34-year-old Scarborough man, received minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is ongoing.
