Four boats destroyed by fire on Noosa River

Fire has destroyed four boats on the Noosa River.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene on Gympie Terrace just after 1am this morning to find four vessels well alight and a fifth damaged.

Police say they worked to extinguish the fires before Queensland Fire and Emergency crews arrived a short time later.

The cause is being investigated.

It’s not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
