A dolphin has been freed after being caught in a drum line off Kawana on the Sunshine Coast.
The Shark Control Program received a report about the dolphin, directly in front of the Kawana surf club, at 2.15pm yesterday and the local contractor was there by 2.55pm.
A Fisheries Queensland spokesperson says it took 15 minutes to free the dolphin which swam away strongly.
