We’re being told to check our water tanks for contamination from bushfires in recent weeks.
Paul Endres from the Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit said if your tank water has an odour or tastes funny it could be a health risk.
Mr Endres said water tanks can become contaminated and be a health risk after bushfires.

He said if you think there is a problem you will need to empty your tank, hose it out and sanitise it to be safe.
