Bonza creditors meeting this Friday

302 staff from budget airline Bonza have been stood down as administrators work to decide the future of the Sunshine Coast-based company.

11 staff have been retained to help the administrators…..Bonza cancelled flights and went into voluntary administration last Tuesday.

Its planes have been repossessed.

Staff have been told they won’t be paid for April and to register at Centrelink.

The administrators have opened an enquiry line to help employees.

They also said the planes will remain grounded until at least tomorrow.

They held a virtual meeting of employees last week and have been in discussions with Government organisations and other key bodies in regards to assistance for employees.

In a statement, administrators Hall Chadwick, said they are still working with a number of key stakeholders to provide funding in order to resume flight operations and continued to do so over the weekend.

Hall Chadwick said they are continuing their efforts to find the best possible solution for all stakeholders.

The first meeting of creditors will be held this Friday at 11am.
