Big turnout for Voice Referendum pre-polling

More than 34-thousand people have already voted in the Voice Referendum in our area.

Early bird voters are turning out in big numbers to cast their pre-poll votes before October 14 in the local federal electorates of Longman, Fisher, Fairfax and Wide Bay.

When we visited the Australian Electoral Commission voting centre in Maroochydore this week there we queues to park and people waiting to get inside and vote.

Of the nine people we spoke to, only one was voting YES.

The Referendum is on October 14.
