Investigation into suspicious house fire

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Nambour overnight.

Emergency authorities were called to the fire at the home on Lachlan Avenue just after midnight.

The resident wasn’t home at the time of the fire.

A crime scene has been declared.

Earlier this week a man died in a shed fire near Howard Street in Nambour and a 21 year-old woman died from the injuries she received in a unit fire at Buderim on Sunday night.
