Woman drowns, swimmer missing in separate Sunshine Coast incidents

A 27-year-old woman has drowned on the Sunshine Coast.

She was pulled unconscious from the water at Bulcock Beach around 3pm on Sunday, with Surf Life Savers attempting CPR before paramedics arrived.

Tragically, the woman, from Zillmere in Brisbane, passed away a short time later.

Police say the death isn’t suspicious.

They’re preparing a report for the coroner.

Meanwhile, the search is set to continue at first light for a 21-year-old man missing off Teewah Beach.

The swimmer from south-east Queensland got caught in a rip on Saturday evening.

Another person with him at the time, managed to make it back to shore.

Water and air searches have so far failed to find the 21-year-old.
