The iconic water reservoir on David Low Way at Peregian Beach is undergoing routine structural maintenance including a mural refresh.
The work includes replacing the roof and internal repairs as well as having its artwork facade refreshed.

Unitywater Executive Manager Sustainable Infrastructure Solutions, Mike Basterfield, said the five million litre capacity reservoir provides water to around 2,000 properties in Peregian Beach and Marcus Beach and was constructed in 1981.
“Following extensive engagement with the community, Unitywater commissioned the art back in 2015 and after 10 years in the elements, it is time for a refresh which we are doing at the same time as our maintenance work,” Mr Basterfield said.
“The native melaleuca artwork is special for Peregian Beach residents and we will maintain the current design on this significant community landmark, which celebrates the area’s natural heritage.”
Mr Basterfield said the maintenance project will cost $3.9 million.
The artwork refresh will follow the construction works which are expected to take about five months.
