Dingoes and jellyfish keep emergency services busy on K’gari

There have been two dingo attacks on K’gari in the last four days.

A man was waiting beside his vehicle for the Inskip Point barge on the island yesterday morning when a dingo nipped the back of his leg.

Barge staff provided first aid.

A young girl was also bitten last Friday in the same area.

And two more people have been stung by jellyfish on K’gari.

A man in his 20s was stung by an Irukandji on the north west coast yesterday afternoon.

He was flown to the mainland in a stable condition.

A baby girl was also airlifted following a marine sting on the island yesterday morning.
