A young boy has been attacked by a dingo on K’gari.
The primary school-aged boy was treated for bites and cuts to his head after the incident on the island near Coolooloi Creek around 3pm on Saturday.
A Department of the Environment spokesperson said the dingo approached the child and his grandfather while they were on the beach.

He was flown to a Brisbane hospital in a stable condition.
