Two men have died on our roads in less than 24 hours and another is fighting for life in hospital.
A Mazda ute towing a caravan veered across multiple northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway between Roys Road and the Caloundra interchange around 11.20am yesterday.
It collided with a Toyota ute before going down an embankment.
The driver of the ute, an 81 year-old man, died at the scene while his wife was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Emergency crews said passing motorists stopped on the highway and pulled the woman from a flooded ditch, saving her from drowning.
Meanwhile, a Southside man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Gympie this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to Sorensen Road near Serenity Drive at Southside just before 1am.
A grey BMW left the road and crashed.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 28-year-old man, died at the scene.
And a man in his 20s has life-threatening injuries after crashing his motorbike at Mountain Creek.
The crash happened on Kawana Way and the Sunshine Motorway on ramp at 9.20 last night.
The man was taken to hospital with critical shoulder and back injuries.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old woman has been charged over a fatal two vehicle crash in Elimbah in March.
A Mitsubishi ASX collided with a Ford Falcon on Bigmor Drive on March 24.
The driver of the Ford, a 59-year-old Elimbah man, died from his injuries in hospital on April 7.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 22-year-old Eliimbah woman, was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
She is due in court next month charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance while speeding and driving under the influence of liquor.
