Australia’s top green thumbs are heading to the Sunshine Coast for the Queensland Garden Show.

More than 60,000 plants will be on sale daily, alongside gardening must-haves, display gardens and kids activities.

Spanning more than seven hectares, the event also boasts Australia’s largest gardening speaker program — with more than 100 free talks and demonstrations from the country’s best-known gardening personalities.

Also, back for another year of botanical brilliance is artist and landscaper Tohm Hajncl, a long-time favourite at the Giant Kitchen Garden and a fixture of the show for over a decade.

“The Garden Show is close to my heart — I come back every year because I love designing productive gardens and inspiring others to grow — that is what it’s all about it,” Mr Hajncl said.

“This year is extra special as the garden wouldn’t exist without the incredible team of nearly 20 volunteers who’ve given their time, energy and passion – including students from the Compass Institute. It’s been a real community effort.”
