Man who allegedly spat on baby denied bail
A 67-year-old man accused of spitting on an 18-month-old baby in Sydney because he felt the boy "didn't like him" has been denied bail.
Derek Frederick Brimson has been charged with common assault after he allegedly spat on the baby, who was in a pram and in the company of his mother and father, at 2pm at Town Hall in the CBD on August 7.
In Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday, magistrate Darryl Pearce refused the Woolloomooloo man's release application and adjourned his matter - involving an "innocent child" - to Central Local Court on August 15.
