Boy dies as car with six NSW teens crashes
A 16-year-old boy has died after a car full of teenagers crashed into a fence on Sydney's northern beaches.
Emergency services were unable to save the life of the passenger with critical head injuries following the crash on Caladenia Cl in Elanora Heights about 11.20pm on Saturday. Police said the four other boys and a girl were taken to Royal North Hospital to be checked as a precaution. Earlier on Saturday, a man died after a Toyota Corolla hatchback struck a power pole on the Princes Hwy in Sylvania in the city's south. The 30-year-old driver suffered multiple injuries, and was trapped for almost an hour before emergency services freed him from the wreckage, but died en route to hospital.
