Clive Palmer's brother-in-law has appeared in a Brisbane court to make a last-minute delivery of documents on behalf of the businessman's personal assistant.

George Sokolov brought three boxes of documents for Sarah Mole to the Federal Court in Brisbane on Thursday, just as Registrar Murray Belcher was preparing to adjourn the matter because the material had not arrived.

Meanwhile, a solicitor acting for several of Mr Palmer's companies has filed documents in the Brisbane Supreme Court seeking a freezing application by taxpayer-funded liquidators be put on hold pending an appeal over further material they want to add to the case.
