Seven charged following Sunshine Coast drug raids
Several arrests have been made following a police operation on the Sunshine Coast, targeting drug trafficking.
Officers executed multiple search warrants at a number of Sunshine Coast locations yesterday, including at Meridan Plains and Landsborough, as part of Operation Romeo Reverent.
During the searches, police allegedly located and seized one kilogram of cannabis and $9,000 cash.
A 52-year-old Caloundra man has been charged with 12 offences following raids, including nine counts of supply dangerous drugs (cannabis, cocaine) and one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs, possess property suspected as proceeds (cash) and possess weapon (baton).
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
Operation Romeo Reverent has now come to a close after commencing in September 2019 as a joint venture between detectives from the Sunshine Coast District and the Drug and Serious Crime Group, Crime and Intelligence Command.
In that time, a total of seven people have been charged with 17 offences.
