Man held down and stabbed with machete during home invasion
A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following an alleged home invasion at Buderim.
Emergency services were called to a Booral Street residence around 6.30pm last night, where paramedics found a man with "multiple lacerations".
Queensland Police allege a group of four men entered the house and held down the resident, before striking him multiple times with a machete, causing lacerations to his chest, face and lower back.
They then fled the scene.
The 29-year-old was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police investigations continue.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with further information to contact them.
