Heatwave on the Sunshine Coast
We are set to swelter through some hot temperatures this week on the Sunshine Coast.
A heatwave will send temperatures soaring to between six and ten degrees above the average.
Bureau of Metrology forecaster Peter Clarson says there's a deep low pressure system off the coast of New South Wales
"The system is rotating away and wrapping around, and that is a deep low pressure system is hot and very dry, he said.
Gympie is reaching a top of 38 degrees for today, Noosa and Maroochydore 33 degrees and Nambour 35 degrees.
