Two motorbike riders injured in separate crashes
A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital after colliding with a 4WD, west of Beerwah.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper was called into action just after 4.30pm on Monday, and flew to a clearing near the accident scene.
The patient was transported to the aircraft by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics, who had initially treated him at the scene.
The rider was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with leg and arm injuries.
A second motorbike rider was also injured at Coles Creek in the Gympie region a few hours later.
The patient suffered serious injuries after crashing down an embankment off Mary Valley Link Road around 8:30pm.
QAS transported the rider to SCUH in a stable condition.
