Young horse rider airlifted to hospital
The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured teenager, after she fell from a horse.
The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, at 9am on Thursday.
The aeromedical crew worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the high-school-aged girl.
She had suffered suspected head injuries and was flown in a stable condition to the Queensland Children's Hospital.
