Queensland has recorded one new case of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

A 27 year-old Bellbird Park man has tested positive.

The Health Minister Steven Miles says that the man most likely became infected through contacts at the Madtongsan Thai Restaurant at Sunnybank.

"The 27-year-old male from Bellbird Park  is related to a person who went to the Madtongsan Thai Restaurant in Sunnybank on the 23rd of July and that is considered the most likely source of the infection." said Mr Miles

Queensland now has 11 active cases of coronavirus with five of those in hospital.

The tally now sits at 1083.

9076 people were tested for COVID 19 in Queensland over the last 24 hours.
