Aussie World will close its doors on Monday afternoon, in response to the global Novel Coronavirus pandemic.

The Aussie World Theme Park will close at 3:00PM.

The Banana Bender Pub did not open on Monday in line with Sunday's announcement from the National Cabinet for all pubs to close.

The bottle shop and other retail outlets in the Aussie World precinct remain open for now, with appropriate social distancing and personal hygiene measures employed.

A spokesperson for Aussie World said "The health and wellbeing of our staff and guests has always been and continues to be of the utmost importance".

"We thank our staff and patrons for their understanding and support regarding this matter.

"This is an extremely challenging and unprecedented situation for all of us. We are working with our staff and supporting them in whatever way we can at this time.

"Given the current circumstances, Aussie World will continue to take advice from health authorities before any decision is taken to reopen the park. Understandably, we are unable to give a timeframe on this" the statement concluded.
