The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured driver, after his ute crashed, while driving through a state forest.
It's believed the man, aged in his fifties, had swerved to avoid hitting people riding quad bikes.
He was trapped in his vehicle and cut free by Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel.
The aeromedical team was tasked to the crash site, in the Gympie region, just after 12:30pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were already on scene, when the rescue chopper landed in a nearby clearing.
The LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic helped treat the man for upper body injuries, before the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew him to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition.
