Police have charged two local men with a large number of graffiti offences on the Sunshine Coast.
It’s alleged an 18 year-old Buddina man and a 20 year-old Buddina man sprayed graffiti on public and private buildings and property across Bokarina, Buddina, Parrearra, Warana, Minyama and Mooloolaba from March to May this year.
The men allegedly rode to the offence locations on e-scooters and wore disguises, including face coverings.
Police executed a search warrant at a Buddina home on Tuesday, where they allegedly located personal items linking them to the offences, a powdered drug and drug utensils.
The two men were arrested in Corbould Park that day.
The 18-year-old has been charged with 21 counts of wilful damage by graffiti, two counts of possess tainted property, and one count of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.
He is due to appear in Caloundra Magistrates Court on June 26.
He has also been charged with a further five counts of wilful damage by graffiti and one count of publishing material about particular offending behaviour.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court on June 10 on those charges.
He was also issued with a police diversionary warning for possess and or use dangerous drugs.
The 20-year-old man has been charged with 24 counts of wilful damage by graffiti, two counts of possess tainted property and one count of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.
He is due to appear in Caloundra Magistrates Court on June 26.
Police believe there may be more wilful damage incidents that have not yet been reported.
