Police are calling for information from the public following a series of boat thefts in Mooloolaba.
The boats have been stolen from private jetty’s, with one catamaran stolen at 2am on January 6.
Authorities say the white 2003 Powercat 2600 Sports vessel was stolen from a jetty at a residence on Tarwarri Crescent, after the keys were left inside.
The owners were reportedly overseas at the time.
Authorities believe the $140,000 vessel, with the registration NS369Q, could have travelled to Hervey Bay or the Moreton region.
It’s one of three boats stolen from the canals during the holiday period with two smaller boats also missing.
Anyone who has information or has seen any suspicious activity in the canal systems is encouraged to report it to Crimestoppers or Policelink.
