Senior music students from Suncoast Christian College have won a competition to meet Sir Paul McCartney during his Australian tour.
More than 40 music classes across Australia entered Frontier Touring’s ‘Got Back To School’ competition but the College’s rendition of his song “Maybe I’m Amazed”, which appeared on his debut solo album in 1970, won the contest.
The Suncoast Christian College students will go to next Saturday’s Gold Coast concert, be there for the sound check and have a photo taken with the former Beatle.

He has even messaged the students to congratulate them on their win.
“I’m really amazed by the fact that these kids have learned my song and perform it so well. Thanks guys. Look forward to seeing you at my show,” Sir Paul said.
