Human remains discovered after shed fire, Biggenden

Human remains have been found following a shed fire, west of Tiaro.

Queensland police have declared a crime scene at an address in Biggenden, after the blaze broke out yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 12.20pm, where six fire crews attempted to put out the flames.

They had the fire extinguished by 7.25pm, but were still dampening down hotspots at that time.

Preliminary investigations have identified human remains in the shed.

Police guarded the scene overnight.

Forensic officers and investigators will attend the scene to conduct further enquiries this morning.

The Fire Investigation Unit will also look into the cause of the blaze.
