
The Launch of the Resilient Heart Glenwood Project will be on 10 June 2023 from 3pm to 9 pm at the Glenwood Community Centre (13 Pepper Road, Glenwood). This event will have: • entertainment by Juke Joint (a local band), • resilience information tents from Local Emergency Services, Disaster Resilience, Fraser Coast Regional Council, • Fun for the kids (no matter their age) with a jumping castle & obstacle course, and • Food and drink vendors to satisfy your hunger & quench your thirst. ****************************** This 12 month programme is because a GLENWOOD “CATEGORY C” GOVERNMENT GRANT WAS APPROVED The Queensland Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy advised that a Commonwealth and State Government funded Category C Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018 (DRFA) was approved for the Glenwood Community Resilience Network (GWCRN). The Category C Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018 (DRFA) assists communities to restore social networks, community connectivity and resilience. See attached social media friendly flyer. Resilience Programme The GWCRN will use this grant to run a 12-month program consisting of four community events and several workshops to restore social networks, community connectivity and resilience in the Glenwood and surrounding areas.
