We are excited to announce our upcoming festival “Sunflower Day on Mooloo Farm,” scheduled for Saturday July 25th. This charity event supports Little Haven Palliative Care and Chemo therapy Support Cooloola Inc. Last year, our inaugural event featured 10 acres of vibrant sunflowers on our regenerative farm, attracting over 700 attendees. We sold out tickets two weeks in advance, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for this unique experience. The day included live music, a variety of stallholders, a free petting zoo, a historical operating steam engine, and delicious offerings from the Rotary Club, including Mooloo beef burgers, food, and coffee vans. The day was made possible with help of local Regen Farmers. We raised over $11,000 for the Charities. This year, we are thrilled to expand the event with exciting additions such as wood chopping, chain saw carving, steam traction engine, and a wide range of artisan and local craftsmen stalls. Additionally, we are collaborating with the Rotary Club to host a “Long Lunch in the Sunflowers” on July 18, featuring Chef Matt Golinski, showcasing Mooloo Farm beef and produce from Gympie State High School. The festivities will culminate in the Wuthering Heights movement experience coordinated by Sue Kirkpatrick and Leaha Hoskins, a dance in the sunflowers on July 26.
