Following on from the enormous success of the inaugural Over 50s Cricket World Cup that was held in Sydney in 2018, Queensland Veterans Cricket (QVC) was invited by Veterans Cricket Australia (VCA) to host the very first Over 60s Cricket World Cup on the Sunshine Coast. The Organisation Committee has drawn on the experience gained from running this event and has been in contact with the organisers. Generally the Rules and Playing Conditions are the same, but some variations have been made. It has been a challenging task with the advent of COVID-19 which caused our 2020 and 2021 plans to be postponed. We now have 12 teams competing and we are looking forward to hosting all participants here in September.
