Jackass star attacked by shark in stunt gone wrong

Footage has been released of the terrifying moment a Jackass star was bitten by a shark.

For years many have argued that the crew behind reality tv show Jackass tend to take things too far, and unfortunately its been proved true in their latest attempt to push the envelope.

While filming a stunt called 'Jumo The Shark' for Discovery's 'Shark Week', Jackass star Sean McInerney - aka Poopies - attempted to wakeboard over shark-infested waters.

Failing to stick the landing, Poopies fell of his board and into the water. One of the several circling sharks managed to get a hold of McInerney's hand taking a large chunk of flesh out of it.

Thankfully, a medical crew was onboard the boat and treated the deep bite.

Poopies doesn't blame the sharks for attacking.

“I definitely got a degree in shark college there. I knew there was a chance I was going to get bit by a shark, but I didn’t think it was going to happen. I don’t blame the sharks at all. I mean, I was in their living room, and it was dinnertime.”

His Jackass co-star, Chris Pontius, added “It’s a reminder that yeah, like, we are pushing it pretty hard. And this could happen, of course.”
