Assassins Creed Odyssey - Review
Set in Ancient Greece in the middle of the Peloponnesian War. the latest installment of Ubisoft’s franchise video game series is “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey”.
This is the biggest Creed game to date and feels epic as you play the part of either a male or female Spartan mercenary sentenced to death. This is a bit different for the series as the Spartans are a more hardened elite warrior than stealth assassin but it doesnt impact the quality of game at all.
Seeing everything in the world feels like it could actually take hundreds of hours, but thankfully the setting is so gorgeous and the gameplay so polished that you will want to keep going back in.
The addition of pursuing romantic encounters is also new to the series and adds an extra dimension to the game even though the dialogue can be somewhat of a misfire a good majority of the time. It's a bold addition and worth the time you put into it.
This feels as ground breaking as Assassin's Creed - Black Flag which was a big enough departure from what was a tired franchise to reinvigorate it and lead into the well placed Origins, with Odyssey they have almost reinvented the game again keeping enough elements so that you know it's an AC game but now it's just so much more.
Assassin's Creed has added to what is a stellar month in video game releases with 5 star releases like Spiderman and Forza Horizon 4, It holds it's own against the others and is a game that just keeps on giving. 4 and a half stars out of 5.
