Movie Review: RAMS
RAMS is a cracking Australian comedy about two brothers Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton) who haven't spoken in years who both breed rams in outback Western Australia.
When Les's prize ram is diagnosed with a rare and lethal illness, authorities order a purge of every sheep in the valley.
Colin attempts to stealthily outwit the powers that be, while Les opts for angry defiance.
But can the warring brothers set aside their differences and have a chance to reunite their family, save their herd, and bring their community back together?
RAMS has a fantastic supporting cast including Miranda Richardson, Asher Keddie, Wayne Blair and Jeremy Sims with plenty of laughs to balance the serious storyline.
The movie is actually a remake of an Icelandic film of the same name (Hrútar, 2015) and was shot entirely on location in Mount Barker, a small farming town with fewer than 2000 residents located in Western Australia's Great Southern Region.
