The ‘Father Of The Bride’ Reunion Is Happening This Week!
Get excited almost three decades after the Father of the Bride premiered, Netflix has confirmed that a special reunion is happening this week!
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday the streaming service hinted to a Banks family reunion. The video post captured footage from George Banks' (Steve Martin) email account.
It shows him going through his recent emails which included digitised pictures from his daughter Annie’s (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) wedding and also a calendar invite from son Matty (Kieran Culkin) for Friday.
The clip goes on to say that after 25 years the Banks family will return for a very special event to benefit World Central Kitchen.

The special will premiere on Friday at 6pm ET and 3pm PT on Netflix’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
Director Nancy Meyers had previously teased a reunion on her Instagram page, posting a photograph from the movie with the caption "If he thought a wedding was a lot, how would he react to 2020? Coming soon to the phone in your hand!"
